Mayhem 31 October 2009 Gaming event.

Halloween is always fun, dressing up, the ladies (note the comma), zombies and awesome, awesome gaming fun.

	Halloween: On the dress-up side of things we had one gamer in full AWB uniform, that was rather funny. We were surprised that no one threw stones at him. We had Muffer-Mode dressed as a Skeleton with a Mayhem Christmas hat (nightmare before christmas I guess), and we had Coco-pops dressed in a little anime girl outfit, very yummy.
	PC gaming: Muffer mode: "What level are you?" vapour: "I am a level 1 human with no class." Context: Seems borderlands was a hit and there were at least three full games running and most players managed to get up to level 19. The title was such a hit that some players did not even want to wait to get it cheaper on steam, a few went right out to BT games or CNA and picked up a copy to play at the event. If you have not yet got a copy of the game, do yourself a huge favour and buy it NOW! Either in store for R400 or get four friends and buy it on steam, the four pack of the game will cost you R250 each. We had a very heated Dota game which lead to Mayhem staff asking a group of gamers to please chill and play nicely with each other. Which towards the end of the event saw two groups of gamers becoming nearly best buds. Titles for the day: Call of Duty 4, Warcraft 3, DOTA 5, Left for Dead, Demi God, UT 2004, Starcraft, Counter Strike Source, Quake 3, COD5, Borderlands, Streetfighter 4.
	Console Gaming: Nothing of a new or massive interest, but we did pick up a dance mat which will be at the next event. Titles for the day: Soul Calibur 3(PS2),Burn out 3(PS2), guitar hero 5(PS2), House of the dea overkill (Wii), Wii sports(Wii), Gears of War 2 (Xbox), NFS Shift (Xbox).
	Magic the Gathering: So how old are your cards. We had a new player show up who quit playing magic just as 5th ed was about to come out. Needless to say he had a deck which made heads turn. "holy cow it has been ages since I saw that card" was rather common. Not only has Magic the Gathering become a regular thing at Mayhem events but there is a small sub Mayhem community forming around it. Each month sees new players. Some completely new to the game and some just new to playing at Mayhem. So if you have some Magic cards bring them with and join us (or die). Or if you are just interested in learning the game, come and borrow a deck and we will be more than happy to teach you how to play. Board Games: Hmmm... So there you are the four of you. In a camp site, the pet cemetery down the path starts spawning zombie dogs. You need to fight your way through hundreds of zombie dogs to get to the log cabin and perform a ritual it put an end to the slaughter. Needless to say a handful of players had huge amounts of fun playing zombies 4.
